Community Center Youth Camp is an activity organized by the Association for Education Improvement, Belgrade, Serbia in order to make a youth network of Community Center Program participants in SEE region. Sixty young people and their teachers came from Albania, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia and spent seven days together in small Spa Banja Vrujci, 92km from Belgrade.

The aim of the project is to help the development of political culture of non-violent conflict-resolution, and of different cultures living together of human rights. During realizing this project, NGO trainers and instructors from Serbia, Croatia and Macedonia had to establish cooperation in order to promote mutual understanding and respect of human rights among youth. They managed to fulfil this task successfully. The instructors and trainers were members of the following NGOs: Association for Education Improvement, Belgrade, Serbia; Center for Peace, Non-violence and Human Rights, Osijek, Croatia; and Youth Educational Forum, Skopje, Macedonia.

The main topic of all the activities was intercultural and multicultural societies. The program dealt with the main topic; had two parts: educational and spare time activities. The program was obligatory for all the participants. During the seven days the young people were involved in the following workshops: Group Dynamics; Communication; Identity; Problems in Multicultural Societies; Intercultural Public Debate. The participants were responsible for spare time activities in the evenings and they expressed high level of creativity, knowledge and skills. They presented their countries, towns and community centers as well as they organized entertainment such as: basket ball tournament, night swimming, association game, quiz show, dance evening, karaoke party.

All camp participants have wonderful impression of the camp. They made true and honest friendships and learned a lot about other people from the SEE region. All of them expressed satisfaction to be part of this camp with strong wishes to be in touch with each other and meet again. They expressed also their wish that in the future a tradition of this camp could be useful to establish.
