For the past year, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work on the Karl Popper Debate Program as the web administrator and publications coordinator. All of this being new to me, there are a few people who can be thanked: Tricia Mullen Keane in New York for offering the opportunity to continue this work in Budapest and Vedran Vucic, our program coordinator in Belgrade for putting the "bee in the bonnet" so to speak.!

I grew up in New Jersey, but spent a lot of time in New York City attending classical music concerts and studying piano. I did end up going the Ivy League route and attended Columbia University where I majored in English Literature. Although I did not minor in East European studies, my interest in Hungary and Eastern Europe was instigated by my Hungarian heritage. My other half (Mom's side) is Italian. So I grew up in a spirited household with pasta and palacsinta being prepared in the kitchen.

I live in Budapest with my Hungarian husband and my sweet half labrador, half spaniel dog, Dezs (he's the little black guy in the picture.) I love all animals, but especially dogs (sometimes I have more patience for them than humans). I also love birds and want to learn how to horse back ride.

I have three sisters and a large family back in the States, but I also have a wonderful family, here in Budapest. I love the Budapest hills and spas and enjoy trying to speak Magyarul, my almost native tongue!
