Debate Related Disciplines
Everyone that has at least observed debate knows that debate is more than a technique or skill. It is much wider and deeper. Though one does not need to be a philosopher or expert in logic, linguistics or psychology, it is valuable and helpful to know about processes of thinking, argumentation, structure and dynamics of dialogue and discourse, management of emotions, understanding symbols and presenting thoughts of others in public communication.
