The OSI's Electronic Publishing Development Program (EPDP) promotes digital content development, and use of electronic information and communications, in the countries of the Soros foundations network.

EPDP began in 1996 and is now in its final year of operation. As of January 2002 the program will be closed. However, many national Soros foundations will continue to operate electronic publishing programs, contact your local Soros foundation to find out more.

The OSI - Open Society Institute - is part of the the worldwide Soros foundations network. Based in Budapest, the Institute was set up in 1993 and operates in forty countries around the world, fostering the growth of open societies.
