Conference Objectives
This conference seeks to bring together companies and organisations from Central and Eastern Europe and from the 15 member states of the EU with the purpose of helping them find potential partners for collaborative projects sponsored by the European Commission.BackgroundWe also hope that, even if delegates are not able to prepare an application for funding in the immediate future, this conference will enable all delegates to make useful and valuable contacts to extend their network of business contacts across Europe.
Participants will have the opportunity to present their innovative activities in the field of Electronic Publishing and exchange information on their respective research issues.
This event is connected to call for proposals under the "User-Friendly Information Society" section of the Fifth Framework Programme which has recently been announced by DGXIII (now called the Information Society Directorate General). Companies are encouraged to establish contacts with potential partners in order to create and submit joint proposals for funding.Who Should Attend?
Applications are welcome from all companies and academic or non-profit organisations which are interested in developing, in collaboration with a range of European partners, projects within the section "Multimedia Content and Tools" of the Fifth Framework Programme, and particularly in the following research areas:1.
