As donors and governments themselves begin to focus on the education of Roma, it is critical that funds are spent and used in the most effective way. A proposed collection of case studies is part of a larger international effort to improve the education of Roma children. The Council of Europe, Save the Children Fund - UK, Kultur-Kontakt and other international partners have identified the collection of case studies to be an important step in international efforts to improve the situation. By collecting, documenting and making widely available case studies on good practice as well as bad, practitioners and policy makers may learn from previous experience in order not repeat.
